Published: January 22, 2010

Carolina Ivette Bolado and Nathan Hale were married Saturday at St. Raymond Catholic Church in Miami. Msgr. Tomás M. Marín performed the ceremony.

Until this month, Ms. Bolado Hale, 27, was the market editor for the South Florida regional site of MenuPages.com, an online menu directory. She graduated from the University of Chicago.

She is the daughter of Ana Suarez Bolado and Jose P. Bolado of Miami. The bride’s father is an owner of Bolado Clothiers, a men’s store in Coral Gables, Fla. The business was started in Havana in 1928, by Candido Bolado, a great-grandfather of the bride. The bride’s mother is a placement specialist in the Miami-Dade County public school system. She helps place students with disabilities as well as those considered gifted, from kindergarten through high school.

Mr. Hale, 31, is a copy production editor at The Record and The Herald News newspapers in Woodland Park, N.J. He graduated from Columbia, from which he also received a master’s in journalism.

He is a son of Barbara S. Hale and the late Nathan Hale of New York. His mother works part-time as a business administrator for the Arbor Medical Group in Wilton, Conn. His father retired as a senior partner from the New York law firm Haythe & Curley.

The bridegroom is a descendant of Enoch Hale, a brother of Nathan Hale, the Revolutionary War spy. The bridegroom is also a great-great-grandson of Edward Everett Hale, the author of the story “The Man Without a Country.”
